What makes a good saddle?
What makes a good saddle GREAT? |

Dear Tommy,
I am a 64 year old
woman, and I ride a 17 year old Arabian Gelding. I have tried
several different kinds of
saddle without any of them fitting him right. So you see, I really trail ride not for just a few hours, but for miles and miles. For example, In 2005 I rode 830 miles from Feb. until June. One of those rides was a 10 day wagon train that went from Boaz to Montgomery Alabama. I have done this ride several years in a row, and before I got the Rubber Bar Saddle Tree Saddle may horse could not do the whole ride without getting sores on his withers and pain in his back so bad I would have to send him home early.
Then, Rick & Penny
Wheat introduced me and my best horse to the rubber bar saddle
tree. In 2005, My horse did the whole 10 day ride without
getting sore at all, I was amazed at how much of a difference
that saddle made. My horse stayed happy the whole trip. I can
not say enough about this great saddle. When my friends ask
about my great looking saddle I can tell them with confidence
that if they want a saddle that is totally comfortable for them
and their horse to buy the best, a Pro Saddlery saddle with the
Fits Right Rubber Bar Saddle Tree. Then, they too can say "Happy
Trails". I want to thank you for making a great saddle that is
some comfortable for me and my horse.

Hi Tommy, Wanted to let you know that the rubber bar tree is doing real good for us. Every customer we have made a saddle for (with the rubber bar tree) likes it. Lloyd Heaton bought the first one we made and then ordered two more. Then two of our customers who know Lloyd ordered rubber bar trees after seeing his. We have called all of our customers and all who have them like the saddles made with your rubber bar tree. I think with the flexibility of your rubber bar tree and the unique drop D rig set in a cut away skirt, we will have one of the best cutting saddles on the market. Thanks, Chet Koen |

Dear Chet and Julia, I can't believe the comfort of these new rubber tree saddles. I can ride all day and not get tired or sore. Both my horses seem to be more relaxed and at ease during our rides. I think you have built 7 or 8 cutting saddles for over the last 6 years. All of which I have been very pleased with the quality, workmanship and the special care you put into making them for me. Not only have I found a couple of great saddle makers, but most of all a couple of great friends. Thanks for all you have done for me in the past and in the future! By the way…the last rubber bar with the shorter skirt was definitely the right way to go. It works great. See ya soon. Love to both of you. Cheryl Carpenter |

Thanks to the Rubber Bar Tree Saddles, we are enjoying trail riding again. No more aching backs or knees....No more riding for two or three hours and wanting to quit.....Now we can ride several hours more and enjoy every minute of it. Our Billy Cooks are now used as decor in our home and we ride only Rubber Bar Tree Saddles. Thank you, Pro Saddlery, for giving us our love of trail riding back.
